We surely are approaching the time when a growing proportion of the population is ready for a leap forward to a new harmonious way of being. One that supports us all in creating ‘Right Relationship’ with each other, with nature and with the world. The basis of this New Harmony is a deep conviction rooted in experience and in the ethical paths of the wisdom traditions of all true faiths that there is a higher reality, which unites us rather than divides us and invites us to become what we were created for.
Integrity in our institutions will only follow a renewal of awareness of the inner and outer values which require a new level of personal accountability from us all if humanity is to achieve its cosmic purpose.
Radical Interdependence – the ancient new paradigm – of which we offer one version here, is the organising principle for both a sustainable and flourishing world.
Such a world is no longer congruent with the existing different expressions of comatose, materialist philosophies of either Liberalism or Conservatism and hence with the taken for granted collapsed paradigm of the left and right horizontal political spectrum.
Secular liberal democracies have lost touch with inner values and outer value because they have allowed a “warrior” form of capitalism to undermine the feminine principle of Civil Society through what has been described both as unsustainable indulgent consumerism and counter productive dog-eat-dog competition.
On the one hand, Liberalism has eaten itself with its unclear boundaries and indulgences. On the other Conservatism has devoured the rest of us with its lifeless insentient, economic blindness.
“The only scale at which life works is at the level of place” and we need a new story as a means of conservation and progress that can protect and nurture real living value.
